2008 IMPORTANT DATES We realize that many people are very excited about not having to wait in line, but we also know that others like the ability to show up early and register. We ask for everyone's patience, and thank you in advance for your ongoing understanding and support. We do not intend to radically change our Fall registration procedure where people have the most significant scheduling needs. 2008 Summer Registration Information and Instructions DATES AND TIMES FOR SUMMER SESSION REGISTRATION: GROUP #1 (CURRENTLY ENROLLED FAMILIES ONLY) GROUP #2 (Open Registration for everyone) IMPORTANT NOTE: So What Can I Expect? New DancEd customers need to create a account to use our online registration system. Please click on the link above to create an account for your family. You will be taken to the Sign In page, where you will click the button for "New Account" under the heading New Customer. You are then able to enter your information, and create a password to access your online account. Simple! Please note that DancEd takes registration by FAMILY, so you will not create a new account for each dancer. The system will allow you to add the dancers you want to register under your account. Please note that dancers added to your account must be part of your immediate family or you must be a legal guardian. To access the system you will be prompted for an email address and a password. Most current DancEd customers provided DancEd with an email address previously. Click the link above to enter it and access your account. If you have not created a password, you can select the option to set up your online account by clicking the "Update Account" button. You will be prompted to enter your name, address, & phone number so the computer can locate your record. You will also create a password. From there you can access your account and register for class. If you have not provided DancEd with an email address previously, current DancEd customers simply click the button for "Update Account" on the Sign-In Page. You will be asked to provide (confirm) your address and phone numbers so the system can locate your existing record, and in doing this you will enter your valid email and set a password. Easy! As with the "wait in line" registration, the computer takes registration on a first come basis. Classes are listed on the website by class type (Ballet classes appear together, Jazz classes appear together, etc) and are sorted by Level. Classes appear on the list by displaying the class start time on each day it is offered - left to right, Monday to Saturday. A time shown on a certain day indicates the day and time that class meets each week. Please note that classes with openings are listed in blue, and full classes are red. As classes fill, they will not be available to be selected online. You can find another class that is open and register. It is fairly clear and straightforward when you visit DancEd.com. When registering online you will be asked to enter a Visa or Mastercard. The system will calculate and charge the correct amount for the classes you register. The system will not complete the registration until the credit card is entered and the payment made. Online registration also creates a few other limitations that make registration different from what we have been able to do in the past. For example, our online process requires a credit card - checks and cash cannot be taken online. We also do not currently have a way to split payments. These are limitations that we will examine moving forward, but for now individuals needing to pay via check or split a payment will have to do so during walk in registration. Many of you have registered for other classes or activities online prior to this, and we think you will find our system to be comparable to what you have experienced in the past. We would suggest checking out the DancEd.com website and making sure you are familiar with it and have a online account set up prior to your trying to register. Again, we hope that our "testing the waters" concerning online registration for Summer 2008 will make life a little easier for you.
