DancEdBlog Lessons Learned in NYC
Those who know me know that I don't profess to know very much about dance. That's OK, because I am surrounded by people who know a great deal about it, including many 8, 9, and 10 year olds. So it was no real surprise when a short conversation with my wife reminded me that perceptions can be deceiving. A group of DancEd instructors and DancEd dancers and their families made a trip to New York City a week or so ago to do some dancing and see some Broadway shows. Fortunately we managed to plan our trip around any earthquakes or hurricanes that may be in the area...
Back to School Well Wishes!
DancEd would like to wish dancers everywhere a productive and meaningful experience as they head back to school! Work hard and have fun!!! DancEd fall classes begin the week of September 12th. We can't wait to see everyone!

At DancEd, we care very much about our relationships and the shared experience that our dancers and their families have with us at DancEd Dance Centre. We have always felt that pretty much anyone with a dance background can open the doors to a dance studio and offer classes, but we aspire to much more than teaching dance steps to loud music. So, with that in mind we would like to introduce the DancEd Blog!

March 1: Dance Company Performance at “The Park at Golf Mill” (for select Companies)
March 8-17: 2013-2014 Dance Company & Comp Team Auditions – please ask for info if interested
March 9: Dance Company performance at DePaul Basketball Game, 1:00pm tipoff
March 24-April 6: No Classes - Spring Break, Passover & Easter - Studio Closed - (unless snow days are used)
April 8-13: Recital Order Sheets Go Home (order tickets, t-shirts, video)
April 13: Dance Company Performs at Northbrook Court
April 20: Recital Order sheets due by 12:00pm (This is a Saturday.)
April 26-May 2: National Dance Week – Wear your favorite Dance t-shirt
May 3-9: Picture Week - first day is a Friday
May 13-18: Parent Watch Week - last 15 minutes only - Pick up recital tickets
May 27: No Classes- Memorial Day
June 3: Last Day of classes (tentative based on snow days)
June 3: Creative Movement Special Performances
June 5-9: Dress Rehearsal & Recital at North Shore Performing Arts Center
